Snowman

First I made a new layer called bottom snowball and using the elliptical Marquee tool I made a ball and colored it white with the fill bucket. I did the exact same thing with two more layers called middle and top snowball. Then I made new layers for all of the features of the snowman using different tools including the layer styles, lasso tool and many more! This is what it looks like:

A whole new you!

In MME we made our own whole new me. First pictures were taken and were put on our computers. We opened the files and cut ourselves out of the background using the magnetic lasso tool. I pasted myself into a new canvas and used the magic wand to select my face easily. Then I clicked on Enhance- hue and saturation to make my face a different color: green. After this I clicked on Filters- Distort- Liquify- Pinch/warp/bloat tools. I manipulated myself with these tools and this is the result. Finally I saved as a .jpg for the web.

Shapes

In our MME class on the first day we learned to use different tools and made our own file in Adobe Photoshop Elements. First of all we used the simple tools like the move tool, which will move and rotate shapes. Then we also learned to use the polygonal lasso tool, which lets you shape your own polygons, I think it is very handy and easy to use. After this we learned to work with the marquee tool, which allows you to make circles/ovals and squares/rectangles. also one of the tools was the Fill Bucket tool, it is used to fill in shapes with a color that you can choose from the color swatches. Almost everything on Photoshop is made in layers which you can make visible and invisible you can also do many different things with the layers. The layer styles will change your style of the items that are built on the layer that is selected. First we were supposed to save in a .psd file, but when we saved for the web we had to make it a .gif file.
